Charter schools, don’t miss this opportunity to motivate your students and increase comprehension and skills through innovative, hands-on strategies for K-12 reading, math and science.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
The Strategies for Success Leadership V Charter School Conference will feature three dynamic keynote speakers:
The Bag Ladies – Reading K-12. Back by popular demand! The Bag Ladies will conduct an ALL NEW three-hour "make n' take" workshop that is fun, fast-paced and addresses the Sunshine State Reading Standards. Teachers will leave the workshop with a bag full of techniques for motivating and exciting their students to learn.
Dinah Zike – Science K-12. Nationally known motivational speaker and educator Dinah Zike will bring her “Dinah-Might” manipulatives designed to increase student achievement in science. Participants will leave this hands-on session with action-based, multi-disciplinary activities that they can use immediately with their students.
Dr. Angie Sue – Project M.I.N.D. – Math Is Not Difficult®– Math K-12. Dr. Angie Sue returns to the Leadership Conference with her innovative teaching strategies that eliminate the fear of math and make learning fun. Sessions on Project M.I.N.D. will be offered for teachers and administrators.
SESSIONS FOR ADMINISTRATORS
CONFERENCE SCHEDULE: Thursday, August 7 - 8:00 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. Friday, August 8 - 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Participants must register for both days. CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations received in writing no later than July 18, 2008, will be refunded, less a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations received after July 18 will not be refunded.
